If you were strolling around in the Michigan Union on Jan 24th, then you may have witnessed a good supply of Michigan ruggers assisting the American Red Cross with their blood drive. From 2pm-8pm, two players were at the registration desk signing in donors while another group of players shared the task of escorting donors to the refreshments area. The blood drive, called the Face-Off and organized by Alpha Phi Omega, is an annual blood donating challenge between the University of Michigan and Michigan State that ends February 10th.
This event marked the second time of the 2011-2012 school year that the UMRFC has helped out at a drive. Michigan Rugby also helped with the Blood Battle against Ohio State this fall.
