Up until February 10th, the University of Michigan will be competing against Michigan State University in the annual Face-Off. For those unfamiliar with the event, Face-Off is a blood collecting competition between the rival schools. It is the winter equivalent of Blood Battle, the competition between U of M and the Ohio State University held in the fall. Currently, Michigan holds the title for both the last Blood Battle and Face-Off. Everyone is welcome to donate blood at a blood drive on campus.
The UMRFC will particularly involved with Face-Off by both volunteering at the blood drives and attempting a team wide donation. Last semester, over half of the eligible donors on the team donated, which potentially could have saved over 75 lives! The team will try to surpass last semester’s achievements during this competition. Sign up to donate at the Red Cross website or walk-in during the day.
