February 17th, this Friday, you are invited to watch the UMRFC Sevens Championship. The matches will be held in Oosterbaan Field House (1202 S. State Street), a warm, indoor turf field used by both varsity and club athletic teams. Please remember, no food or drink is allowed inside the field house.

The sevens competition was introduced as a way to provide additional game experience for the players. Players were separated into six teams, each named for a University of Michigan icon. The competition has been running for five weeks and was used to determine the seeding heading into this Friday’s championship. Team Oosterbaan comes in as the top seed, winning 8 of their 10 matches.
