U of M Rugby Helps Dance Marathon

Over the past weekend, one of the largest non-profit organizations on campus, Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan (DMUM), held their annual dance marathon event in the Indoor Track and Field Building. Throughout the year, DMUM holds numerous fundraisers to raise money for the C.S. Mott Children’s hospital in Ann Arbor and Beaumont Children’s hospital in Royal Oak. Then on a weekend in March, volunteers dance for more than 24 hours to conclude the year’s work. Due to the match with Grand Valley State University, a majority of the University of Michigan Rugby Football Club was not able to attend the dancing finale. However, Andrew Bituin participated and others were able to catch a couple hours on the Sunday portion. A group of ruggers teamed up with the clean-up staff comprised of unsurprisingly exhausted volunteers. From folding tables to tearing down stages, Michigan Rugby did what they could to help contribute to the event, which raised over $500,000 this year.
