Why rugby?
I started my sophomore year in high school, and I have learned that it’s a sport that wasn’t a common
sport where I was from, which made it much more exciting when I first started. After playing for 4
years, I have learned it’s much more than a sport, it’s a family. Teammates, Coaches, and Alumni. I have
never experienced a team or community so welcoming and fun.

What have you liked about Michigan rugby the most so far?
The combination of enjoying the game and being part of a competitive team. Everyone plays and
everyone enjoys the game together on and off the field. The mix of working hard to earn success while
understanding the joy of the game.

Most memorable moment on the pitch?
Michigan State B-Side game, scrum on their 22, ball comes out the back, I scoop it and get tackled 1
meter short of the try line, then came my number 8, Jesse Fenno scoring the try.

What’s your favorite rugby drill in practice? Least favorite?
Favorite: Two Defense vs. One offense tackling drill
Least: Stu fit

What other sports have you played?
Soccer, Basketball, Track, and Flag Football when I was younger and American Football in high school for
4 Years

In 5 years, what do you see yourself doing?
Being an inspirational olde boy, highly active in the rugby community. Career wise, a growing industrial
designer.

What’s some embarrassing childhood memory you can tell us?
When I was in elementary school, I was walking to school from my daycare and tripped on a root and a
face planted on a branch, leaving a scar right below my right eye, still apparent to this day.

Favorite place in Ann Arbor?
My local fabrication shop, Maker Works.

Biggest fear?
Heights or large amounts of insects in one area.

Favorite food/meal?
My mother’s spaghetti or chicken rice.

Any game day superstitions?
None as of right now

Favorite superhero and why?
Iron Man because he basically built his super power… and it’s my dream to have his office.

Best advice you’ve ever received?
“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are
there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to
stop the people who don’t want it badly enough.”

Well said Foo! I’d say you are 15 lbs heavier than you were when you came out for WRFC. Stay strong in body and mind and you’ll go far.
