Ann Arbor, MI- After months of planning and preparation the Michigan Collegiate Cup is set to kick-off this weekend in Ann Arbor. The tournament will feature eight of Michigan’s rugby playing universities and colleges. The tournament is set for a 9:00 A.M. kick-off at Mitchell Field on the University of Michigan campus. Teams that will be featured in this event are:
- Oakland University
- Central Michigan University
- Grand Valley State University
- University of Michigan
- Calvin College
- Michigan State University
- Saginaw Valley State University
- Eastern Michigan University
The tournament will feature Buffalo Wild Wings game balls as the restaurant chain continues its support of rugby in Michigan. Organizer Brandon Sparks adds “It is great to have them involved with us and I know that the rugby community enjoyed their World Cup and ARC watch parties.”
All are welcome to come watch the games and enjoy a day in Ann Arbor!
