Ann Arbor, MI- The Michigan Collegiate Cup will be back for a second year after a successful first year in 2016 that saw eight teams do battle in the inaugural tournament. This year’s tournament will be held once again at the University of Michigan on April 22nd where the hosting Wolverines will look to defend their title.
“It is always great to win your own tournament but we know the competition will be much tougher this year” says University of Michigan Head Coach and tournament organizer Brandon Sparks, “teams like Oakland University, who gave us a tough final last year, and Eastern Michigan University who had a really strong Fall last year will be two teams to watch.”
If your team is interested in participating in this year’s tournament please contact organizer Brandon Sparks (sparksbr@umich.edu) or fill out this form. Entry fee will be $375 and the event will run all day. Spectators are welcome to attend free of charge and enjoy a fun day of rugby featuring some of the best college teams in the state of Michigan!
