On Friday August 31st, the Boys in Blue traveled down to south bend to play Notre Dame. Notre Dame struck first and converted on the kick to make the score 7-0. Michigan came back with some strong defense to hold off Notre Dame in a hard fought battle for 15 minutes. However, Notre Dame struck again, and again, with the final score being 47-0 Notre Dame. Although it was a tough loss for Michigan, the young side showed promise in their defensive structure, and hopes to convert their tough defense into wins in the coming Big Ten Season.
