The Wolverines start off strong, as Truman Stovall puts Michigan on the board and Tanner Visco makes the conversion within the first 2 minutes of game time, making the score 7 – 0. In an exciting and well-deserved run, Ian Kwant sprints down the sidelines and runs Purdue up, 12 – 0. In a tight first half, Purdue scores twice making the score 12 – 12. Purdue keeps up the high energy, running up the board 22 – 12. A tough game was played, but the team takes pride in their plays for the night.

The Wolverines kicked off their weekend this past Saturday with a road trip over to Wisconsin.

With a fall chill in the air, the game started off strong by Wisconsin with an aggressive lead of 62 – 0 in the first half. At the 53-minute mark, Brandon Walter fought tough to bring up the Michigan score 62 – 5. Tanner Visco keeps up the hard-earned try converting the kick, changing the score to 62 – 7. Wisconsin plays consistent, running up the score during the second half, putting up a rough match for the Wolverines. The final whistle blows leaving the scoreboard reporting 76 – 7. Though Saturday was a loss by Michigan, Jamie Demers, Travis Dantzer, Davis Grimm, and Will Biel led the team strong. Michigan stays positive and states, “hats off to Wisconsin they played a great game and took advantage of the mistakes we gave them. We are going to keep looking to make 1% improvements as this season goes along. We are a young side and these young men should be proud of their hard work regardless of the outcome.”

Wisconsin Academy’s high energy carried on into the academy game with a try up the middle 7 minutes in the match, but the kick was no good. Half time score had the Badgers up 27 – 0. In the second half, Aiden MacDonell placed the ball between the posts and hit the conversion, the score changed to 27 – 7. The game stayed tough though, with the Badgers taking the academy match with 44 – 7.
