Simon Tessier is a French exchange student playing with the team this semester. Although he is a forward in France, he has the ball skills to play back in the United States. He split time between the first and second sides this spring and scored two tries. He will be remembered for a lot of cheeky passes. He is our Player of the Month!

Why did you decide to play rugby?
2007’s Rugby World Cup was in France.
What have you liked about Michigan Rugby so far?
The atmosphere was so good. Everyone welcomed me so kindly! At the same time, practices are tough (especially at the beginning) and well-lead. The progress line of Michigan’s players is impressive.
Describe your most memorable moment on the field
Our win of Illinois 7s with the second team. We played well together. I’m proud of this.
What’s your most favorite rugby drill in practice? Least favorite?
Cheeky cheeky passes, for sure.
What other sports have you played?
Tennis and soccer for fun with my friends.
What do you see yourself doing in five years?
Going to the Big House during my holiday in America. Because I do not have the opportunity to watch a game this year.
What is an embarrassing childhood memory that you can share with us?
Pissing on my pants at 15?
What is your favorite place in Ann Arbor?
Chipotle. Sorry Tommy, you have no taste.
What is your biggest fear?
Armen’s love of bananas. That’s weird.
