Joe Ounsley is our February Player of the Month. Since joining Michigan Rugby this past fall, Ounsley has made a magnificent impact on our team not only by being a great player but an incredible teammate as well. Congratulations Joe!

Why did you decide to play rugby?
My brother joined from a young age so I decided to follow his lead.
What have you liked about Michigan Rugby so far?
Great people, it’s an organization that means a lot to a lot of people. It’s great to be involved with something that people are so passionate about.
Describe your most memorable moment on the field.
Scoring a last minute try against Notre Dame after the boys made a great comeback in the final 15 minutes.
What’s your most favorite rugby drill in practice? Least favorite?
My favorite rugby drill is league touch, because I get to run around all the forwards. My least favorite drill is conditioning- our coach doesn’t take it lightly.

Football (soccer)
What do you see yourself doing in five years?
Working on Wall Street and living with my American girlfriend.

Losing rugby games
