Why did you decide to play rugby?
I played a sport every season of high school and I found myself really missing that aspect of my life during my freshman year in college. So when my dad (who also played rugby in college) recommended I play, I decided I would try it out.

What have you liked about Michigan Rugby so far?
Being part of a team and just the competition the sport provides.

Describe your most memorable moment on the field.
Hands down my try against Ohio State (shoutout to George Janke for the beautiful offload). It was the first try I scored so it just felt extra special that I got to score it against our biggest rivals. The whole team was cheering me on and it was definitely one of those moments when I realized just how fun rugby could be.

What’s your most favorite rugby drill in practice? Least favorite?

What other sports have you played?
Football, Basketball, Volleyball, and Track

What do you see yourself doing in five years?
I have absolutely no idea, but hopefully something I truly enjoy.

What is an embarrassing childhood memory that you can share with us?
Honestly can’t think of any good ones.

What is your favorite place in Ann Arbor?
BTB

What is your biggest fear?
Spiders, I hate them.

Fried Chicken

Do you have any game-day superstitions?
Nope

Who is you favorite superhero and why?
Captain America because he is the OG.

What is the best advice you have ever received?
Just enjoy life and try not to worry about the little things too much.

Again, congratulations to our February Player of the Month, James Olson!
