The Wolverines took on the Bowling Green Falcons this Friday night for their first away game of the season, ending with a score of 17 – 42 favoring the Falcons. Although Bowling Green scored the first try, the Wolverines kept on applying intense pressure for the full 80 minutes with quick play. Brendan Nell, center, scored his first every career try after nine minutes. Despite entering the second half of the game with a 22-5 deficit, number 8 George Janke scored two tries midway through the second half, tightening the gap to 30 – 17 with 10 minutes left on the clock. Unfortunately, a Bowling Green interception but the game out of reach.
The Wolverines second side also took on Bowling Green’s second side, ending with a score of 10 – 31 favoring the Falcons. Jackson Dabagia, number 8, along with Tim Zamarro, prop, scored their first careers tries. Both were hard earned tries within the 22, including Tim’s run off of a ruck.
