Wolverines Lose Big Ten Opener to Buckeyes 50 – 5

The Wolverines took on the Buckeyes this Friday night for their second home game of the season. Despite having a great set of offensive sequences in the first half by the Wolverines, OSU capitalized from multiple turnovers, including a dropped ball and interception, gaining a 24 – 0 lead heading into the second half. 10 minutes in, Luke Boll got his first first-side minutes at hooker. Alec Hanson also subbed in, scoring a try with 10 minutes left, bringing the score to 29 – 5. But the final 10 minutes saw the Buckeyes score multiple tries, ending the game with a score of 50 – 5.

Afterwards, the Wolverine 2nd side took on the 3rd side in a shortened game to cap off the Friday night, ending with a score of 27 – 0, favoring the 2nd side. Otto Janke, Connor McNabnay, and Jackson Dabagia banked in their second career tries. Further, during the second half, AJ Nasharr scored a try and Nic Granchalek scored his first career try with time winding down.
