Michigan State dominated Michigan in the scrum last Friday, and that made the difference in the game. The Spartans won 33-17 at Jackson Field in Lansing.

At the beginning of the month, the team traveled to College Park, MD to beat the University of Maryland. After a bye last week, Michigan’s second side handily beat Bowling Green’s third side yesterday.

Michigan kicked off Big Ten East conference play in the last two weeks with games against two of league’s best teams.

After a great showing against Cincinnati last week, Michigan struggled to maintain its momentum against Western Michigan in its 15-44 loss Friday night.

Michigan kicked off its fall season with a bang versus Cincinnati. The first side dominated 38-8, and the second side cranked out a scrappy 12-10 victory.

Michigan went 2-3 at the 2022 Collegiate Rugby Championship (CRC) 7s tournament and finished 27th in the nation. Freshman scrumhalf Shea Loughnane led Michigan with six tries.

On Saturday, the Big Ten 7s series wrapped up in Ann Arbor. In a season where Michigan seemed to improve in every tournament, the result clinched a fourth place finish.

With wins against Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Illinois, Michigan had a breakout performance at Purdue 7s.

Although the first side faltered to finish seventh, the second side shined in the developmental pool of Illinois 7s.

Michigan first side are Survivor Bowl Champions.
