Fall Practice Update
After a September with limited activity, Michigan Rugby returned to full-team practices earlier this month on October 5. Strict safety protocols are enforced during practice in order to protect players and the community.
SISU™ Mouthguard October Player of the Month: Wyatt Tyrna
Wyatt Tyrna is a 6’1″, 220 lb prop from Brighton, MI. Last fall, he was the only freshman to play in every game with the top side.
October Alumnus of the Month: Ron Storey
Ron played number 8 for UMRFC in the 1970s. He came to Michigan after spending several years playing the game in France.
SISU™ Mouthguard September Player of the Month: Jack Williams
Jack Williams is a 5’11”, 165 lb junior wing. He joined the team last winter and is primed to make an impact on the field.
September Alumnus of the Month: Pete Maglocci
Pete Maglocci spent a decade playing wing and fullback for the Maize and Blue. His highlights with the club include trips to the Big Tens and Vancouver.

August Alumnus of the Month: Rory O’Connor
Rory O’Connor played for Michigan from 1970 to 1978. He played all over the field, and was part of a number of great teams.

Jake Bodner is a 5’7″ rising senior from Connecticut. On the field, he is MRugby’s starting hooker. Off of it, he’s club president.
Support Michigan Rugby’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s
As we have for the past several years, Michigan Rugby is participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s this fall. Alzheimer’s is the sixth-most-common cause of death in the United States, and affects more than five million Americans.
